Amy Winehouse needs to be "hurt" by her husband to get over him, says the singer's mother.
Winehouse is convinced the 'Back to Black' singer, whose husband Blake Fielder Civil has filed for divorce, will continue to love her estranged spouse until he breaks her heart.
Amy is believed to have told friends she still has feelings for him, despite reports Blake has fathered a baby with a woman he met in rehab earlier this year.
Janis told Britain's Heat magazine: "Amy needs to be hurt by him, in order to see him for what he really is. In a way this will be good for her as it will open up her eyes. I just hope that this revelation helps to get the divorce moving."
Earlier this week, it was reported Amy is considering adopting a child from St. Lucia after discovering Blake - who has filed for divorce citing Amy's infidelity - is set to become a father.
The 25-year-old troubled star is currently staying on the Caribbean island after finding the lure of London's nightlife too great and is even rumoured to be considering settling there permanently.
