The 'Back to Black' singer fell asleep at a table outside the London pub owned by filmmaker Reg Traviss' parents yesterday morning (03.08.10) after visiting five bars in different areas of the city, and almost got hit by a car as she made a tearful phone call.
Cab driver Michael Prenpeh – who dropped her at the Inn 1888 pub - said: "She was totally gone. She'd no idea what she was doing.
"She said her boyfriend had no respect for her and was blubbing away - I gave her a tissue."
An onlooker added: "A car nearly hit her as she walked in the road. It had to brake really hard."
Earlier in the evening, Amy befriended Mischa Barton, and bonded with the actress in her favourite pub The Hawley Arms, in Camden, as they discussed fashion and music and even shared a kiss.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The pair were certainly new best friends for the night and were inseparable at The Hawley. They were chatting and giggling like school kids over drinks and talking fashion non-stop.
"Amy has designed a range for Fred Perry so was bending Mischa's ear about style and Mischa was gushing about how much she loved Amy's music."
Amy – who had also spent time with Russell Brand's father Ron Brand in the north London pub – left The Hawley Arms at closing time, moving on to Balans and Chinawhite in Soho, where she ordered champagne and cocktails before taking the cab to Reg's family pub.
