Andy Williams has confirmed he is battling bladder cancer.
The 83-year-old singer - famed for classic hits including Moon River and Can't Take My Eyes Of You – revealed the news to crowds at his show last night.
According to the Tri-Lakes News, Andy confirmed the diagnosis to his fans at the Moon River Theatre in Missouri, after recent reports suggested his health was suffering.
Andy missed scheduled performances recently with an undisclosed medical condition. However, his presence at his show last night garnered a standing ovation, and he addressed crowds about his ill health.
"I do have cancer of the bladder. But that is no longer a death sentence. People with cancer are getting through this thing," he said.
"They're kicking it, and they're winning more and more every year. And I'm going to be one of them."
The publication also reported Andy has yet to start treatment for the cancer.
Emotions were running high at the venue, which was opened by Andy in 1992 and named after one of his most famous hits.
The singer vowed to return to the stage next year to celebrate his 75th anniversary in the entertainment business.
