Angus and Julia Stone return with a new album in March, preceded by the single And The Boys.
And The Boys already enjoying high rotation on Triple J and Nova in the duos native Australia is available for download from March 1st and was co-produced by the siblings and Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright). Two bonus tracks Change and Take You Away are included when purchased through iTunes.
Down The Way, the follow up to critically acclaimed debut A Book Like This, is released on Flock Music on March 15th. Once again the duo share songwriting duties showcasing thirteen new songs. Travelling has been an integral part of the Stones musical story so its not surprising they opted to record in a number of diverse locations around the globe - an old sawmill on the river banks of Fowey, Cornwall, a studio in Brooklyn, a water tank in Coolangatta, their second home - London - and Queens in New York.
On Down The Way Angus and Julia also make their debut as producers, and develop their sound without losing the spirit of their debut. Theres been a subtle shift in gear, evidence of a growing confidence - the music gravitates from sparse to rich and textured arrangements yet never loses its etherealness and charm.
The duo have build up a devoted following in the UK playing two sold out shows at the Scala on their last trip - and return to the UK in April as part of a European tour. Theyll play their biggest UK show to date when they headline the Shepherds Bush Empire on April 22nd.
