Aphex Twin has announced a series of listening parties around the world to celebrate the release of Syro, his first album in 13 years.
The one-off events look set to take place in London, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, Toronto, Brussels and Utrecht between 5-10 September, with the album itself out on 23 September.
Fans can apply to be there through a ticket lottery on the Warp Records website, with applications open between 31 August - 2 September.
No other information has been given about the special events, and it is unknown as to whether Richard D James will be making an appearance himself at any of the parties.
It was recently revealed that James had played certain tracks from Syro live in the past, though under different names. It is however unknown if those versions will appear on the album itself.
Syro is out 23 September through Warp Records, and is currently available to preorder in a multitude of formats.
