Overview
Art Brut have split with their guitarist. Chris Chinchilla has decided to leave, citing personal issues.
The group have issued a statement to NME.COM describing the split as “amicable.â€
Chinchilla - who has been with the group for two years â€" will be replaced with Jasper Future.
Future will make his first appearance onstage with Art Brut this Saturday (September 10) at Bestival on the Isle Of Wight. He had previously played with Art Brut singer Eddie Argos's former group The Art Goblins.
Their statement added: “The band are saddened by Chris' decision to leave but they respect it and look forward to playing with their new recruit Jasper. Anyone wishing to stay in touch with Chris can keep tabs on his movements through his website www.chinchilla-music.co.uk.
The band will follow Bestival by heading out on a European tour, kicking off at Abart Music Club in Zurich on September 13.document.write(unescape("
