Ashley Roberts "sat at home" for three years after The Pussycat Dolls ended.
The blonde star was a part of the band, which also featured Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton, until they split in 2010. She's now back with solo single Clockwork, but Ashley admits it was hard to motivate herself at first.
"After The Pussycat Dolls, I sat at home for three years," she admitted to British Very magazine. "I went on a spiritual journey to get that passion back again because I was a little burnt out after being on the road for seven and a half years. I just needed to remember why I got into this."
Alongside her new music, the star has released a fragrance and appeared on British reality shows such as Dancing on Ice and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
She's not had much time for romance, but the 32-year-old knows just what she's after.
"My ideal date would be near an ocean," she smiled. "Swoop me up, take me to the ocean and we'll go to a little restaurant that sits by the water with the sunset, a nice glass of wine, some good food, good conversation and good laughs."
Recently Ashley's former bandmate and good friend Kimberly married model Max Rogers. It was a great excuse for the girls to get together and celebrate.
"When the Dolls are together, we revert straight back to how we always were," she grinned. "We grew up together, so we go back to that childlike, silly, funny, goofy mentality. I did not stop giggling with the girls at Kimberly Wyatt's wedding. I love them so much. They're my sisters for life."
