Avril Lavigne is embarking on a North American tour to promote her
platinum-selling album.
The 'Girlfriend' singer, who has already released three albums, is "really excited" about the upcoming shows because singing live is what she loves.
Avril said: "I'm really excited for 'The Best Damn Tour'. I have more singles to play, which can be the most exciting part of the show.
"I can't wait to get back out on the road! I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show."
The 23-year-old singer - who married Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley last year - is famous for touring with an all-male crew, but plans to leave behind her tomboy image on this tour.
Avril added: "I'm going to have my own specially designed bus that's going to be just for me, and it's going to be a lot more girly!"
Tickets for the tour go on sale on November 17 on LiveNation.com.document.write(unescape("
