B-52s pull all European dates

The B-52s have issued a statement saying they are pulling all their European dates.

The legendary band were due to play London's Shepherds Bush Empire on June 29.

The band were also due to play the 02 Wireless Festival in London's Hyde Park on June 22.

The band's statement on their official site says: "The B-52's have had to make the very tough decision to withdraw from their European summer touring plans. At present they are deeply involved in the writing of their next album, and they have become so excited with its progress that they now feel quite strongly about not wanting to disrupt their momentum.

"The band is sorry to disappoint all their fans and the promoters who have been eagerly anticipating their return to Europe.
