BACKSTREET BOYS have said they won't sound anything like Lady Gaga despite working with her producer.
The group have started work on their new album and are in the studio with the Poker Face star's producer RedOne.
RedOne, real name Nadir Khaya, worked on a number of songs for Lady GaGa's debut album The Fame, including the chart-topping singles 'Just Dance' and 'Poker Face'.
Speaking to the Daily Star, band member Nick Carter said: "We racked our brains to rediscover who we were. We had to do something really different but still familiar. RedOne really wanted to be on our Black & Blue album - he said he'd studied us, and he's written songs tailor-made for the Backstreet Boys."
Playing down comparisons to GaGa, he added: "Lyrically, it's an album about love, not sex."
This Is Us, their seventh studio album, will be released on October 5.
