The group - which includes former Oasis members Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - took to the stage at the city's Barrowlands venue, their first appearance onstage together since Oasis split up in August 2009.
Diehard fans weren't disappointed as they played every song from their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' apart from six-minute jam, Wigwam.
The group's took to the stage to the Stone Roses' track 'I Am the Resurrection' and the crowd responded by chanted Liam's name, to which he told them "try f***in' harder!"
Ex-Oasis member Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs - who left the band in 2000 - was in the crowd, and said he was excited to see Liam play again.
He told the Daily Record newspaper: "I wasn't going to miss this one, Beady Eye's first gig, in Glasgow. I'm looking forward to seeing him.
"He invited me up. It's always the same with Liam. I've got no problems about seeing him."
Highlights of the set included album opener 'Four Letter Word', single 'The Roller' and 'Bring The Light'.
The group return to the venue tonight (04.03.11) before hitting Manchester and London, ahead of a short European tour.
Meanwhile, Liam has admitted the group's debut single 'The Roller' entering the UK chart at number 31 was a "reality check".
The song, released in January, dropped to Number 68 the following week and Liam admits it wasn't the start the band had hoped for.
He said: "It was a reality check. But that's the way it is."
'Different Gear, Still Speeding' is set to enter the UK album chart in the top three this weekend.
