The Beastie Boys are set to encourage U.S. fans to "get out and vote" on 4 November by organising the 'Get Out and Vote tour'.
The plucky rappers head out on a short tour with support acts including Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson and Tenacious D. The gigs are purely urging fans to make the effort to vote in the upcoming Presidential election.
In a statement released on Friday they said "This election is too important to stay at home.
"We hope that you can come out, have a nice night, dance, sing, get your freak on, and then wake up the next morning and get everyone that you possibly can to get out and vote."
But they're not holding back about who they'll be voting for: "We are very excited about Barack Obama. Hope you all feel the same."
