To go along with the Spike Jonze directed video for the their song Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win, the Beastie Boys have released a set of action figures.
The 11-1/2 inch figures are the same as those seen in the video and come with additional clothes and other items. They are produced by Nowhere Ltd. and Bathing Ape and cost (sit down for this) $750 for the set. The Boys are clear, though that "these are some real limited edition, explicit, bottle service/v.i.p. type items. And no, we are not trying to take you for all your Mozarell." 97% of the proceeds from the sale will be split between two charities that help fight cancer in children, the Pablove Foundation and Alex's Lemonade Stand.
Specifically, the set comes with the three action figures in a metal box along with three each of doll stands, white jump suits, safety goggles, pairs of work boots, safety vests, belts, Japanese decal stickers and extra hand attachments. Early buyers will also get the 2-disc Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science.
