Overview
Beastie Boys have been announced as the headline act at this year's Sonar Festival in Spain.
The hip hop legends, who recently confirmed plans to play Bestival on the Isle Of Wight in September, will also top the bill at the three-day Barcelona gathering.
Other acts at the event, which traditionally showcases dance music, will be Simian Mobile Disco, Junior Boys, Devo and New Young Pony Club.
Mogwai, Dizzee Rascal and Cornelius are also scheduled to play, with more bands and DJs expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
