Aussie-based Yolanda Garcia arranged for Cuban stars Buena Vista Social Club to write and sing the extra verse in Spanish. This is the first time one of Lennon's songs has ever had official permission to be given added lyrics, the Northern Territory News newspaper says.
UK star Newton Faulkner also appears on the track, which will be released in Australia on Tuesday (Dec 7), the day before the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's murder, and will raise money for the Australian Children's Music Foundation.
