The former guitarist says the chance didn't arise, but thinks the reunion is a 'good idea'.
Bernard Butler has revealed he wasn't asked to rejoin Suede for their upcoming reunion show at the Royal Albert Hall. Richard Oakes, who replaced Butler in 1994, will be providing six-string duties on the night.
Speaking to the BBC, Bernard said:
"The honest answer is that I haven't been asked to do it".
The former guitarist, however, insisted that he was happy the band were getting back together.
"It's a shame for them that my name gets dragged into it to try and stir something up", he continued.
"They were a really successful band and I was with them for 5 minutes, relatively, to the history of the band. And they get along fine."
"I think they'll manage this on their own. I think it's a good idea. It's a great charity and I'll be on the front row chucking peanuts at them."
