Beth Ditto loves 80s power ballads.
The 'Standing In The Way of Control' singer admits she loves cheesy songs because they are a "no-no".
She said: "I think part of the appeal is that they are the ultimate no-no. It fits in with the fact that I still don't feel normal.
"We were backstage with Kings of Leon recently and it was like two worlds colliding: the Rolling Stones meets Devo. They were being all cool and we were singing songs about patty cakes."
The Gossip frontwoman also hit out at those in the music industry who refuse to listen to a genre of music.
She said: "I can't stand it when you get these so-called punks saying that they won't listen to R + B. How can you dismiss an entire genre?"
