Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson To Perform At President Obama's Second Inauguration

From the White House to the Super Bowl.
 Beyoncé is going to have a pretty epic few weeks beginning on January 21 when she performs the national anthem at President Obama's second inauguration.

According to USA Today, Beyoncé will take the stage at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, and will be joined by Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor during the event.

Clarkson will sing "My Country, 'Tis of Thee," which soul icon Aretha Franklin memorably sang at Obama's first inauguration while wearing an oversized hat. Taylor has been tapped to sing "America the Beautiful."

More announcements about the entertainment for the more low-key second inauguration will be announced in the upcoming days.

Beyoncé's gig is a command performance, coming after her take on the Etta James classic "At Last,"
 which was the soundtrack to the first dance during the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball at the 2009 inauguration. An estimated 1.8 million people packed the National Mall to watch the first inauguration, but in light of the tough economic times, the second celebration will be smaller, with only two official balls.

In addition to dozens of celebrity attendees (Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Magic Johnson, Diddy, Spike Lee and Jamie Foxx), the performers list at the various 2009 balls
 included: Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Shakira, will.i.am, Fall Out Boy and Rihanna.

A galaxy of other stars, from Bruce Springsteen to U2, Blige, Usher, John Legend, Jon Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow and will.i.am also took the stage at the "We Are One"
 concert before the inauguration, which featured readings from Tom Hanks, Washington and Laura Linney.
