Biffy Clyro have given their reaction to The X Factor winner Matt Cardle releasing a cover of their song 'Many Of Horror'.
Speaking to Australian radio station Undercover, the band said that their song must have been discovered by mogul Simon Cowell.
Drummer Ben Johnston said: "The whole thing’s a bit surreal, we think it's all quite funny."
Biffy Clyro are in Australia supporting Muse and have stayed largely silent about Cardle's cover, but said they believed that Simon Cowell must have recommended the song to him. "Britain’s a small place," Johnston said. "Everybody knows everybody, certainly in something like the music industry. He [Cowell] said it was a great song and he [Cardle] should use it."
When asked what they thought of Cardle's version of the song, Johnston replied, simply: "It's an X Factor version of the song."
Cardle recently defended his version of the song. Earlier this year Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil said he didn't object to The X Factor, saying, "Simon Cowell is not the devil."
