The Scottish 'Mountains' rockers won the Best Live Band trophy at last weeks Shockwaves NME Awards, and drummer Ben Johnston feels the group triumphed because they give it their all at every show.
He told BANG Showbiz: 'What makes our live shows so special?: Bl***y hell, if I knew that!
'All I can say is we put in an incredible amount of passion and we do our best every night. Regardless of the size of the venue you're gonna see lots of sweat, you're gonna see tears, and hopefully you're going to see a connection between us and the audience, that's what we strive for every single night.
'You've got to put the effort in, people have paid for the tickets so, you've got to give it your best and represent your band properly.'
The group are currently touring North America, but flew back to the UK to accept their award, which they won over Muse - who have took home the trophy on three previous occasions ' and Ben joked frontman Matt Bellamy had let them win for a change.
He said: ' think Matt said, 'You guys can have it for a few years!' And hopefully we will keep hold of it for a couple.'
Muse didn't leave empty handed from the event, however, winning Best British Band, while Matt was given the award for Sexiest Male.
