Kent's coolest festival, 'Lounge On The Farm' returns for its third outing on the weekend of 11-13th July 2008 and it's even bigger and bolder than before with increased capacity and new stages!
Set in the idyllic surrounds of Merton Farm in Canterbury, 'Lounge On The Farm's rustic charms will play host to 160 bands spread across 6 stages, from local heroes and cutting edge acts to renowned heavy hitters.
Boy-girl frat party rockers Black Kids and bang bang rock n rollers Art Brut are amongst the first acts to be announced this year in a line up that also features Jon Carter, Dub Pistols Sound System, Sargasso Trio, Pete Molinari, erstwhile Dexy's frontman Kevin Rowland and Aba Shanti Sound System. Plus there will be bands from lauded indie stable 1965 Records, Sonny J, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Holly Golightly & The Broke Offs, Underground Heroes, Guy Williams, Bones and local legend Billy Childish and that's just for starters.
With their non-corporate stance and a commitment to supporting local business and bands, Lounge On The Farm is the cream of the Kentish crop and a world apart from all the identikit festivals on the calendar.
