Black Sabbath have been announced to headline this year's Barclaycard British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, with Motorhead, Soundgarden, Soulfly and Faith No More also revealed. Tickets are on sale now - see below for details.
Black Sabbath will headline the opening day of the festival, which takes place in Hyde Park from Friday 4 July until Sunday 13 July.
Following the announcement this morning, the band's lead singer Ozzy Osbourne, said: The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in and I spent the advance I got for the first album on a new pair of shoes and some Brut aftershave."
He continued: "Returning almost 50 years on, we are doing a bit better for ourselves, so I may even splash out on some new aftershave before taking to the stage at Hyde Park, the most beautiful park in London, that has opened its gates to so many legends in the past. We are beyond honoured to be allowed to put on a show and hope the Royals will enjoy it."
Other acts just confirmed to appear at the festival on 4 July are: Wolfmother, Hell, Kobra and The Lotus, Broken Hands, The Bots, Gallows, Bo Ningen, The Gravel Tones, Hang The Bastard, A Plastic Rose, Rise To Remain, Blitz Kids, The Struts and The First.
Acts that have already been confirmed to headline other dates of the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park are McBusted and Neil Young & Crazy Horse.
