Blake Fielder-Civil's fiancee believes Amy Winehouse would still be alive if she'd had a baby with her ex-husband.
Sarah Aspin ' who has an 11-week-old son, Jack, with Amy's former spouse ' says the late 'Rehab' singer would have been a "lovely mum" and Sarah, 33, accepts she probably would never have had a relationship with Blake if they'd had a child.
She said: "I think if Blake and Amy had had a baby together, she'd still be alive today. She'd have been a lovely mum. Maybe I wouldn't [be with Blake if they had a child of their own], but if I thought she'd still be alive, I'd have compromised my happiness to save her."
Blake refused Amy's request to visit him in prison where he is serving 32 months for burglary and possessing an imitation firearm not long before she died and Sarah says he will regret it forever.
In an interview with new! magazine, she explained: "Blake and I had been together for two years, but there was always three of us in the relationship.
'They spoke for the last time a few days before she died. She asked if she could visit him and he said no. He said he didn't want to upset me.
"He refused because of me and Jack. Since having the baby, I think he's realised how much he loves me and he knows it would have hurt me if she'd visited.
"I think he does regret it now. If he'd known she was that sick, he would've said yes. And I'd have allowed it. So I'd say there's deep regret."
Amy and Blake had a turbulent marriage during which both abused drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine.
They eventually divorced in 2009 while Blake was in prison serving a sentence on charges of perverting the course of justice and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
