Bloc Party join Xfm’s Winter Wonderland

Xfm's Winter Wonderland will light up venues in Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff and London across four consecutive nights in December, with proceeds going to Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.

The event will be hosted by Xfm DJs from around the network including Alex Zane, Julyan Sinclair, Clint Boon and Rhys and Eggsy will be broadcast live and exclusively across the Xfm network including exclusive backstage gossip and interviews.

It's been an amazing year for music, and Xfm are very proud to announce some of the coolest acts of 2007 are already on the line-up with loads of very special surprise acts yet to be revealed.

Opening the events in London, Manchester and Scotland will be the winners of Xfm's Rock School, a month long search on three stations in the network to find the three best school rock bands in the UK.

Xfm's Winter Wonderland is Xfm's flagship Christmas event which last year raised thousands of pounds for Shelter. With this year's event running across four nights even more cash will be raised to help Shelter improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people including the more than 1.6 million children in Britain currently trapped in bad housing that ruins their health, education and future chances.
