Bloc Party ‘Live and Intimate’

'Live and Intimate' the film, is a special up close and personal live performance from Bloc Party featuring tracks from the new album plus the classic Banquet. It was filmed in The Pool Studios, which was also where the band recorded tracks for the current album with producer Paul Epworth

"Live and Intimate' forms part of the additional content for the physical release of the 'Intimacy' album along with 3 tracks that did not feature on the initial digital release in August. Highlights from the film will be screened on channel 4 on
Friday 31 October at 12:10am. The performance was recorded and mixed by the album's mixer Alan Moulder.

Last night the band performed a stellar 4 song set on Later with Jools Holland which can be viewed on the BBC I player. Tomorrow the band will play a special event at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin to mark its closure.

Intimacy the album will be released today, the band will perform an in-store at HMV Oxford Street the same day. Bloc Party will then fly out to Brazil to begin a tour of South America.

Xfm will broadcast an exclusive performance from the Bloc Party gig at the Apple Store on their Live Hour programme, Sunday 26th October, 8 - 9 pm.
