Bloc Party to play free London show

Bloc Party celebrate the physical release of their third album, 'Intimacy' with a free show and signing session at HMV's flagship store on Oxford Street, in London's West End on Monday 27th October.

Showtime starts at 6.00 pm, after which the band will remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of the new record which is released through Wichita Records the same day.

'Intimacy' - produced by 'A Weekend In The City' producer Jacknife Lee and 'Silent Alarm' producer Paul Epworth – was released digitally on 21st August and features the singles, 'Mercury' and 'Talons'. The new album is the follow-up to the platinum selling, 'A Weekend In The City', which charted top ten in 17 countries around the world and at number 11 on the Billboard charts.

Due to the anticipated attendance at the HMV store, access to meet the band will be limited. 300 wristbands will be issued from the store from 9.00 am on Monday 27th October on a first come first served basis, one per customer only, no reservations.
