Blood Red Shoes' video to new single 'Speech Coma', out through Jazz Life on 2nd June, has been the focus of considerable controversy.
Directed by 'Brian and Karl', the disturbing video portrays a singer bleeding to death on stage and has been banned by MTV. Commenting on the video, Laura-Mary explained; "with Speech Coma we wanted the video to represent the unsettling nature of the song.
We liked the idea of it being gory, weird and unnerving". Taken from their new, eponymously-titled album, the gruesome video can be viewed below.
Blood Red Shoes, who are currently playing sold-out shows in Europe, will embark on a UK tour later this month.
The dates will be the band's first since playing a sold-out show at Shepherd's Bush Empire last January and will feature DZ Deathrays and Slaves as rotating main support acts.
