Boy George has joined The Voice UK following the departure of Sir Tom Jones.
Tom has appeared on the singing TV show since it first hit British screens in 2012. It's been confirmed he won't be back for the upcoming fifth season, with Culture Club star joining the panel. Paloma Faith has also been signed up, after Rita Ora left for a slot on rival series The X Factor.
"I'm a huge fan of the show and have watched and engaged with it from series one," Boy George said.
"If I can help someone to win I will be delighted. What a wonderful opportunity to share my experiences and help someone move forward with their musical career."
Paloma is just as thrilled about being involved and believes she is a good choice thanks to her experience of discovering new acts.
"I have a long history of helping break artists as in my club nights I booked Kate Nash, Adele, and The Noisettes before they hit the big time," she added to BBC.
"I'm really looking forward to getting my teeth into something that cultivates the talents of another person and takes the focus off myself for a bit."
Tom's departure comes as something of a surprise, as he hadn't left any hints that he was considering leaving. In fact, when quizzed on what the upcoming series' panel might look like earlier this year he happily chatted about who might join him.
Black Eyes Peas star will.i.am is returning, making him the only original judge left. Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson, who won with his act Stevie McCrorie earlier this year, will also be ensconced in one of the giant red seats once again.
