Brad Paisley jokes that security guards at his shows sometimes fail to recognise him.
The 38-year-old country music star is spotted wherever he goes in his native America, although when it comes to performing for European fans his face can go unnoticed.
The talented singer has been in the UK this week, with a huge show at London's O2 Arena, and finds it funny when security staff don't realise who he is.
"I should have a laminate pass backstage over here cos I'm getting asked if I belong here; 'Excuse me sir do you have a pass?'" he laughed in an interview with the BBC, joking he'll probably get "kicked out" eventually.
Brad doesn't have an ego about the situation though. In fact, he rather enjoys the break from being a massive celebrity.
"It's humbling. It's also pleasant...nice," he smiled.
"I can walk around here feeling like hardly anyone is going to know me."
Brad is happy to say his music is much better known than his face in the UK. Whenever he performs for British fans he can't get over how well they know his tracks.
"I know one thing, it's a pleasant surprise every time how much they know, how familiar with my music they are," he smiled.
