Former Suede singer, Brett Anderson, is to early-release his new solo album, 'Wilderness', online exclusively via Bowers & Wilkins' (B&W) Music Club.
B&W Music Club (www.bowers-wilkins.com/sos) is an online music community for audiophiles and music fans that will offer exclusive monthly albums to its members, specially recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios and downloadable in a 'lossless' file format to provide CD-quality sound.
The album will appear on Music Club from July 10th, and will be released on conventional formats later in the year. You can trial three of the songs from 'Wilderness' by downloading for free at www.bowers-wilkins.com/sos. Tracks on the album include: A Different Place, Chinese Whispers and Funeral Mantra.
The LP features a minimal set-up, with Anderson playing piano and guitar joined by cellist Amy Langley, it also features guest vocals from Emmanuelle Seigner on the song 'A Different Place'.
Brett says: "I made this album with the purest of intentions: to create a beautiful suite of songs untethered by second-guessing markets and playlists and music biz bullshit. I have no record company, no publisher and a smaller audience but I have never been more confident and focused about what I am doing as an artist."
