Bruce Foxton & Russell Hastings line up new album Smash The Clock for October 2015 release.
Two years on from the 2012 release of the critically acclaimed 'Back In The Room', Bruce Foxton and Russell Hastings are returning to the studio to record a new album titled 'Smash The Clock'. The news was announced on crowdfunding site PledgeMusic, with Bruce saying "Its [Back In The Room's] success was made possible by Pledge Music and, in turn, by you the public getting involved, for which we can't thank you enough. The initial demos are sounding great and Russ & I can't wait to start recording in early January. As on the last album we will have a few guest appearances, which we're really excited about."
Original The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton and guitarist & vocalist Russell Hastings tour as From The Jam. Bruce's power and force still drives the classics with the same fullness and intensity as they have for the last three decades.
Russell Hastings is the only frontman other than Weller to have worked with both Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler (former The Jam drummer). His passion and understanding of The Jam has entitled him to be credited by fans and critics alike as the perfect candidate to respectfully and admirably slip into the shoes of former The Jam frontman Paul Weller, with whom he also worked alongside in 2011.
From The Jam are currently touring the 1979 The Jam album Setting Sons.
