The 55-year-old action hero has had a long and hugely successful career in movies, and he shows no signs of slowing down as he ages.
Bruce, who has appeared in blockbusters including Red and The Expendables this year, often thinks about how relaxing retired life must be, but he quickly reminds himself he’d soon tire of an easy life.
“It’s a good question and I don’t know,” responded the star when British newspaper The Guardian asked what he’d do if he was forced into retirement.
“I would like to do nothing but I think that’d get boring too so I think I’ll just keep working. But I don’t think about it that much, it’s hard to look forward into the future.”
He then asked the interviewer what his plans for the coming years were, and when he replied he hoped to still be around, Bruce chuckled and said: “That’s all I’m looking at too!”
Bruce also admitted he doesn’t have much time for self-reflection, and prefers to just enjoy the fun moments life throws at him rather than ponder his career in great depth. The star feels his happy-go-lucky approach has served him well in the world of movies.
“I don’t examine myself... I’m just bumping along doing what seems like it could be fun,” he smiled.
