PRS for Music, the organisation responsible for collecting royalties on behalf of its songwriting, composing and music publishing members whenever a song is publicly played, has published the top 10 most popular UK Eurovision entries since the competition began in 1956.
The 1981 group Bucks Fizz, with Cheryl Baker, tops the list with their Brit-pop, Making Your Mind Up, which not only won the Eurovision contest, but also topped the singles chart in 8 European countries.
The unique results are based on the number of plays each song has had in the UK, including radio and broadcast, in which Bucks Fizz's hit represented an amazing 37% of all the songs analysed.
