Libertines legend Carl Barât & his new band The Jackals are to see in 2015 by playing two tiny New Year's Eve This Feeling club night shows at The Macbeth in Hoxton and the Amersham Arms in New Cross.
The intimate shows have been made possible by Jack Daniel's as part of its nationwide, year-long tie-up with the legendary rock & roll clubnight This Feeling, now in its eighth year.
It is the latest of its 'Jack Rocks' partnerships, a country-wide initiative celebrating the best of crafted, authentic live music. Previous guests at This Feeling include Kasabian, Noel & Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane, Shaun Ryder, Dynamo and many more.
The gigs follow on from Jack Daniel's partnership with Jack Rocks The Macbeth – a four-month long collaboration that saw the venue renovated and shows take place from the likes of La Roux, Kele Okereke and The Coral's James Skelly.
The band will initially take to the stage at the Amersham Arms in South London around 10pm before hot-footing it across London to Hoxton's 300-capacity The Macbeth North London for a second show after midnight.
Carl Barat said of the This Feeling NYE shows "I've always had a thoroughly enjoyable night DJing at The Macbeth and Amersham Arms so I'm chuffed that the fellows at This Feeling and Jack Daniel's are letting me and the Jackals play at both venues on New Year's Eve. It will be a great way start to 2015."
