The couple wed at the Ritz-Carlton on Maui on December 19 and even though they had some rain they didn't let it ruin their big day.
Santana, 63, said to PEOPLE: "The weather was kind of iffy, so we said: 'Let's just do it inside.' Because no matter where we did it, the sun was shining."
His new bride Blackman, 51, added: "Rain represents mercy. It couldn't have been more beautiful."
Blackman said her favourite part of the day was a gesture suggested by Santana's son Salvador.
She said: "My favourite part of the ceremony was when we washed our hands in a bowl of rainwater.
"We absolved ourselves of all things past and all things future except the two of us. It felt so clearing to do that."
