Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen didn't turn "naughty" until college.
The singer is known for her fun personality and isn't averse to pulling the odd prank. However, the 29-year-old insists she was a late bloomer in this respect.
"Oh no, I was like the principal's daughter in high school!" she assured British radio DJ Nick Grimshaw. "I was naughty... naughtier... in college, but in high school I was a goody two shoes - I was quite boring.
"The moment of my life when pranks began was when I was touring Canada with boybands, and some of those pranks, I can't even tell you what went down, 'cause it's too graphic and weird."
Now she's embracing a more rebellious side, the star was happy to take part in BBC Radio 1's Call or Delete feature. Host Nick invites a star to call one of the contacts on their phone and subject them to a wind-up.
Carly decided to choose one of the girls on her team, telling her she had 800 CDs in her hotel room, waiting to be signed for fans.
"I don't know if I'm gonna have time to do them all, so I was thinking, if [we] send over a version of what my signature looks like, if you could go and sign all 800 copies for me?" she asked the bewildered assistant.
"I wouldn't ask, but it's so busy, I don't know what to do..."
She added that she wanted the CDs to have a special "flavour", so also asked if they could be sprayed with her perfume and kissed while wearing one of her lipsticks.
When Nick said most assistants would agree to almost anything a celebrity asked for, she joked: "I didn't know about this power - I should have been using this for a long time!"
Carly is currently in the UK to promote her new album Emotion, which was released there on Friday (18Sept15). It's already been out in the US since August (15) and June (15) in Japan.
