Cee Lo Green has entered a not guilty plea on his drugs charge.
The 39-year-old musician was accused of slipping ecstasy into an unnamed woman's drink and he has been charged with felony ecstasy possession.
TMZ reports Green pled "not guilty" to furnishing the woman with the drug at a criminal court house in Los Angeles Monday afternoon.
The star was accompanied in court by his lawyer Blair Berk and he paid a $30,000 bond. According to the website he is "expected to turn himself in to authorities for booking within 24 hours".
Should Green be convicted of furnishing ecstasy to the female he faces up to four years in prison.
He was also accused of sexually assaulting the woman, but due to insufficient evidence the Los Angeles Country District Attorney's office dropped the charge.
"We are pleased that the Los Angeles County District Attorney has completed its investigation and concluded that the evidence did not support the false and unfounded claims made over a year ago," defence lawyer Blerk told TMZ.
"As it relates to the one charge of furnishing or sharing ecstasy, Mr. Green will responsibly address that matter in a court of law."
Another hearing on the matter will be held next month and Green must attend this court date.
Over a year ago a woman claimed she went to a Los Angeles sushi restaurant with Cee Lo in late 2012, where he slipped ecstasy into her drink and she later woke up naked in his bed.
The woman previously claimed to have a tape recording of Cee Lo discussing the incident, and while he seemingly didn't say he had slipped ecstasy into her drink, he did make reference to the drug.
Apparently this conversation will be used as a confession by the Los Angeles District Attorney. However, there is no suggestion Cee Lo had a criminal intent to harm the female when he is accused of sharing ecstasy with her.
The Voice US judge is likely to face probation as this is his first offence.
