July sees the very last End of the Road Festival teaser gig before the festival itself arrives in Dorset on 12 September. Previous Bush Hall shows have welcomed the likes of Brakes, Baby Dee, Tujiko Noriko, The Cave Singers and Paris Motel. This time the three-way lineup is headed up by Ash guitarist turned harmony-drenched pop maverick Charlotte Hatherley, in a one-off London headline show

Aged sweet 17, Charlotte Hatherley joined Northern Irish rockers Ash, her guitars adding beef to their heavy schedule of live performances. She had toured the world a thousand times and made three studio albums with the boys before she decided to record the collection of self-penned songs that had been growing steadily whilst killing time on the road. This collection became her first solo album, 'Grey Will Fade', recorded in Los Angeles with Sir Eric Drew Feldman.

In summer 2004 Charlotte commenced an 18 month tour of the world with Ash, launched her own website with a free download single 'Kim Wilde' and then followed that up with her next single 'Summer' which entered the UK national chart at 31. She also found the time to play the headline slot on the Red Marquee stage at Fuji rock in Japan and play second headline on the Carling Stage at Reading and Leeds festival in the summer of 2005. In February 2006, after 9 years of playing together, Ash and Charlotte parted ways and she threw herself into the recording of her next solo album, 'The Deep Blue'.

Now, after spending most of 2007 touring extensively with her band, Charlotte is ready to record her third album in South London with Sir Luke Smith, formerly of Clor. It'll be released at the end of 2008, but she'll also be appearing at The End of the Road Festival... This Bush Hall show is her only scheduled London headline date for the rest of the year.
