The Cheeky Girls' Christmas song may never be released.
The song's producer, Barry Upton, is furious, claiming the Cheekys have not paid his bills. And he alleges he is still owed cash from work on their last single.
Barry said: "I've talked to lawyers and they say we have a good chance of stopping the single coming out. A company called Zenith is also due money and will be behind the legal papers which will be served later this week."
The girls, Romanian-born twins Monica and Gabriela Irimia, were dropped by their record label Telstar when it went bust last year. They are now managed by their mum.
The new single is a cover of Boys (Summertime Love) by 80s Euro pop girl Sabrina reports The Sun.
Last festive season their single Have A Cheeky Christmas got to No10.
