Trouble just seems to find Chief Keef wherever he goes. The Chicago rapper was arrested on Monday in Dunwoody, Georgia, and charged with disorderly conduct. Though he was quickly released on Tuesday morning (May 21), Keef was none too happy about the incident.
"Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County jail in Atlanta Mad As f---," he wrote on Twitter accentuating his message with an array emojis.
On Sunday, MTV News was on the set as Keef was in Georgia shooting a music video for "Darker" with Gucci Mane. The track was released earlier this month just a day after Guwop announced that he added the 17-year old rapper to his Bricksquad 1017 recording crew.
The video is directed by Maybach Music's Spiff TV who has shot clips for Rick Ross, Diddy and Waka Flocka Flame. "Me and Rozay checked out Gucci's album and listened to the joints," Spiff told us of how the vid came about. "Gucci was like, 'Yo I got another one called 'Darker.' It's me and Chief Keef. Me and Sosa, we gonna go in, we need you to do it.' "
The concept for the upcoming clip however was inspired by another MMG artist, Meek Mill, who has an affinity for riding dirt bikes and stunt motorcycles. "The concept is that ATL bike life. That street bike life is real big now," Spiff said.
The Gucci Mane, Chief Keef union is an interesting one. Though there is a notable age difference, both rappers offer an unapologetic look into street life with their music and both have had numerous run-ins with the law. In March Keef was released from a juvenile detention center after completing a 60-day sentence for violating his probation.
Still, not all the news surrounding Keef has been bad. Last week he took to Twitter to confirm that he was in a relationship with video model Pretty Mesha and there are rumors that the two are now engaged after she appeared on Instagram wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left hand.
