Chris Martin has jokingly named himself as the "Becky" who reportedly got in between Beyonce and Jay Z.
Beyonce fans have been trying to uncover the identity of "Becky with the good hair" following the release of Beyonce's new album Lemonade and the track Sorry, which featured the lyric and alluded to cheating allegations which many believed referenced trouble in her marriage to Jay Z.
Fashion designer Rachel Roy and singer Rita Ora have both denied getting in between the music power couple, but their close friend, Coldplay frontman Chris, has now poked fun at the drama and laid claim to being the mysterious Becky.
"Yes, that's me," he told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "Well, Jay and I have been seeing each other on-off for about 24 years."
He explained how people could confuse their friendship for something more, joking, "We just go bowling together. But people get the wrong idea because we're talking about walking around with big balls. I'm glad to have it off my chest."
Rachel Roy issued a statement denying she was Becky when fans pointed the finger at her after she posted an Instagram picture with the caption "good hair don't care" just hours after Lemonade was released last month (Apr16).
However, it appears Rachel hasn't managed to get rid of the scandal just yet and her private emails have reportedly been hacked with the intention of making them public.
"Rachel has confided to friends about the stolen emails," a source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper. "She has no idea how they've been swiped but is aware how much harm they can cause...
"From a personal level, she wanted to distance herself from the furore after initially playing up to the link as Jay Z's rumoured other woman... But now she fears the spotlight will be well and truly back on her, Jay Z and Beyonce if these conversations end up online."
Jay Z's protege Rita also denied she was Becky on social media. Fans accused her after she posted a Snapchat picture in which she's wearing a lemon-printed bra and "J" necklace.
