The death of Christopher Shale, a senior member of the Conservative party's constituency association, at last weekend's Glastonbury Festival was not suspicious, police have said.
Shale's body was found in a VIP toilet at the festival in Worthy Farm on Sunday (June 26).
Organiser Michael Eavis had said police were initially treating his death as a “suicide situation” but police have not said they are not treating it as suspicious, reports BBC News.
A police spokesman said: "The results of the post-mortem, combined with the inquiries conducted into the circumstances surrounding the death indicate it is not suspicious."
Yesterday, Prime Minister David Cameron led tributes to Shale, describing him as “a close and valued friend”.
