Shazam reveals the UK's most-Shazamed songs of 2014. So far, Clean Bandit has clinched the top spot, with the band's single "Rather Be" notching up almost 10 million Shazams. The Cambridge three piece's album is released next week (2nd June), so we can expect to see the band's popularity to continue to skyrocket during the rest of the year and beyond.
Featured twice on the top 5 list is newcomer Jess Glynne. The British singer's vocals are featured on the Clean Bandit track and on Route 94's track "My Love", which comes in at number three on Shazam's list. An artist in her own right, Jess Glynne is 'one to watch' over the coming months. Her debut single "Right Here" is set to be released in the UK in July, but is already beginning to creep up the Shazam charts and make its way onto radio playlists.
Annie Mac continues to cement her status as the guru of new music, as two tracks in Shazam's top 5 premiered on her BBC Radio 1 show: Kieza's hit track "Hideaway" (the second most Shazamed song in the UK so far this year) and Duke Dumont's club track "I Got U!" (the fourth most Shazamed song in the UK so far).
