Courteeners have announced a major UK tour that crowns what is unarguably the band's most successful eighteen months to date.
The tour sees the band play a series of dates up and down the country before taking in a five-night stint at Manchester's O2 Apollo. This unprecedented run is the first time any band has played so many consecutive nights at the iconic venue.
The autumn tour crowns an incredible eighteen-month period for the band that began with their highest charting album so far (the top 3 Concrete Love). That release was quickly followed by headline slots at Reading and Leeds, primetime appearances at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, T in the Park and V Festival and a historic hometown gig at Manchester's Heaton Park in June. All 25,000 tickets for that show sold out in under an hour. Q magazine went on to award the show a gushing 5 star review, describing it as "their equivalent of the Stone Roses' Spike Island or Oasis' Maine Road… less like a 'performance', more like a reciprocal communion".
