Courtney Love alleged to have miscarried

Courtney Love was admitted to a New York hospital today, just hours after she failed to show up for a court appearance.

Doctor's say her condition is non-life threatening but reports suggest she may have miscarried. They have stated her admission to hospital is not drug-related and is not an overdose and earlier thought.

If she was pregnant, she had kept her condition secret. The singer has already lost custody of her daughter Frances Bean. The 11 year old girl has been placed in the custody of Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor.

Love failed to show for a court appearance this morning where she was due to be arraigned on a felony weapons charge. As a result, she forfeited $55,000 bail and was placed on a new bail of $150,000. A warrant was also issued for her arrest.

Her lawyer Michael Rosenstein tried to sway the judge by telling the court she was confused after whether she was meant to be in court.

The singer is due in a Beverly Hills court next Thursday on charges of illegal drug possession. She is also due to make a further appearance on Friday on further charges of cocaine abuse.
