The 46-year-old Hole rocker, who has battled drug and alcohol addiction in the past, told TheFix.com that Lohan sought her advice after she was arrested.
The 24-year-old former Mean Girls star has been in and out of rehab over the past few years for addiction issues and is currently preparing to go back to prison next month for violating her probation from a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge.
Love told the US website: 'Lindsay Lohan called me after she was arrested. The judge presiding over her case was the same judge who presided over mine. He was a very sweet man. I think he was an ex-alcoholic himself.
