Universal Pictures has reportedly greenlighted a Kurt Cobain biopic based on Charles Cross' book Heavier Than Heaven, which was criticized as being biased in Courtney Love's favour.
Courtney Love will reportedly act as an executive producer.
Variety reported last week that Universal Pictures has hired screenwriter David Benioff to adapt Cross' Cobain biography for the big screen. His other credits include "Stay," "Troy," and "25th Hour" as well as the as-yet-released "The Kite Runner" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
The book itself was criticized as being a collaboration between Love and Cross by such friends as Everett True, who derided the book as being inaccurate, omissive, and highly biased, calling it 'the Courtney-sanctioned version of history'"document.write(unescape("
