Dannii Minogue feeling homesick?

The star recently returned to the UK ahead of her stint as a judge on talent programme The X Factor. She took time off from the filming of the initial stages of the show to give birth to her now two-month-old son Ethan, her child with boyfriend Kris Smith. Ethan was born in Dannii’s native Australia as she wanted to be close to her family during the latter stages of her pregnancy.

Now back in London, Dannii is reportedly finding it hard to adjust. “Dannii loves the city but it’s upsetting knowing she’ll be away from her mom until Christmas,” a source said.

Kris has been a tower of strength for Dannii, but she still misses her parents. Now she has Ethan she finds she wants to seek her mother’s advice more than usual, but is having to get used to not having her about.

“She’s loved spending so much time at home with her family and letting her parents get to know baby Ethan, but now they’re on the other side of the world and they just seem so far away,” a source told Look magazine. “As any new mom knows, you can’t beat the support and wisdom you get from your own mom.”
